I have packed my stuff, and have one small suitcase weighing eight kilos, and a small backpack to take on the plane. I'm not going to cart around a load of stuff I won't use. Sri Lanka is a hot country so I won't need lots of clothes, and I can always buy more if I need them.
After umming and ahhing for ages I have decided to take the following electronics:
- iPad mini to take photos, write my blog and make bookings.
- Android phone to take photos and do wifi stuff. I can transfer photos to the iPad via the cloud.
- Cheap simple phone for contacting guest houses and emergencies and I'll buy a local SIM.
My travel adapters arrived from Amazon just in time. Sri Lanka has round three pin plugs like we used to have in the U.K., and adapters aren't widely available.
Passport, wallet, tickets - ready to rock and roll!
